ive been finding strangers blogs tonight and its been a fun adventure. because i have no weed at the moment (changing that soon i fear) i must read about weed as much as i can so it makes the next time i smoke weed feel better. the more you know about something the better you can use it!
currently im reading a post on how to be a producive stoner, one which i can only assume was made in 2012 because of the beautifully outdated slang. It's all pretty standard, but it made me really interested in the way different strains effect me. She stated that sativa makes her extra anxious and indica puts her right to sleep, so she does hybrids with ~90% indica and the rest sativa, getting the relaxation but also the energy. i think i want to try experimenting and seeing if i can find a difference. future stoner blogging Get ready. it is a super cool glimpse into this girls life, shes still posting, now doing fashion content mostly. she started a fashion brand with a friend, got married, and still smokes weed.
the next post i found was on a film blog, about the strange behavior hollywood has around stoner movies. this was a super interesting read, it talks about a lot of stoner movies i havent heard of (and a lot i have) and how their marketing was nearly nonexistent because producers didn't think the mvoies would sell. it introduced me to a horror stoner movie called idle hands that i am more than excited to watch. it sounds like it was made for me. unfortunately the blogger says he didnt love the movie.... but i think i would. frankly this post had so many movie reviews in it that i couldn't read them all, but i think i'll bookmark the post as a masterlist of stoner movies to watch. this post was made in 2010 as far as i can tell.
this next blog is about womanhood and weed, with some tasteful religion sprinkled in. its called the tokin woman (best name ever) and it talks about famous women and their relationships to smoking weed in the public eye, and how that impacted the worlds view of them. there are also lots of posts about weed in general, like one about how 420 fell on easter for the first time since 2014. this blog is still active, having had their last post on may 4th. I learned about a goddess named Ishtar, who "was a compassionate, healing deity. Her medicine kit likely included plant allies, and one of them, known as the "aromatic of the Goddess Ishtar," was likely cannabis. " Omg. wow. awe inspiring that weed is so awesome and has been for so so long. the final line of this post is "This Easter, it's time to resurrect Ishtar, and all that our healing goddess stood for, including cannabis" and i think that is so beautiful. I only scrolled through this blog for a few minutes aside from the ishtar post, so i dont know about the quality of the rest of the work, but i'm excited to read more :-)
i want to find more blogs of strangers because it is so wonderful to read the words of others. maybe ill do it again tomorrow!
